Rangers in Training

Build practical skills for a life in conservation.

The Eco Ranger Skills Programme combines online theory with scheduled practical bush blocks led by experienced industry facilitators.

Students learn at their own pace online, then put that knowledge to work through hands-on conservation, wildlife and guiding activities in the field.

Practical training at Cowley Wildlife

Real learning in real bush country.

Two practical blocks are required for certification. Cowley Wildlife Camp hosts selected 10-day blocks during the 2027 school holidays; another compulsory block is hosted at Leopard Rock in Hoedspruit.
